Storage Terminal: The True Sanity Saver

Starry Studios and NetEase dropped a lot this month, so it is easy to miss small changes that actually matter. The Storage Terminal is one of those changes. It is the kind of improvement that saves time and stops base maintenance from feeling like a second job.
Players fall into two camps when it comes to storage:

1. The Organizer, who labels and sorts every crate obsessively.
2. The Hoarder, who dumps everything into the nearest chest and crafts duplicates later because nothing can be found.

The Storage Terminal solves both problems. Place one in your base and you get a single interface to access every storage crate on your property. Need to stash loot fast? Use Overview Mode and deposit items from one menu. Want to tidy up? Switch to Single Display Mode and manage each chest without running around.

1. Key perks players will notice immediately:
2. Centralized access to all property crates, so you no longer have to run chest to chest.
3. Rename crates, pick icons, and sort by crate name so searching actually works.
4. Quick deposit from Overview Mode, ideal for on the fly storage.
5. Merge Items command, which consolidates stacks top to bottom, useful after mass deposits.

Known rough edges to watch for:

1. Overview Mode does not always auto stack like items into existing stacks when you right click, it will drop in the first available slot.
2. Merge Items works in a top down order, which can leave things scattered if you deposit blindly.
3. Depositing everything by accident will require manual cleanup, starting at the top chest and working down.
4. Deviations remain tied to individual player deviation crates, there is no universal deviation transfer yet but vending machines still work

If you want to see how it actually behaves watch the video walkthrough. The clips show the fast deposit, naming crates, the merge order, and the weird stacking edge cases, all in real time. Seeing the UI in motion clears up a lot that reads oddly on the page.

Final verdict, plain and simple: this is a serious time saver, and it makes base life far less tedious. It does not solve every storage problem, but players who hated chest management will feel the relief immediately.
